Glenn Harold Powers, 77, of Bennett, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 2, at Joyce-Brady Chapel in Bennett, with the Rev. Tim Powers, the Rev. Phillip Smith, and the Rev. Kevin McCaskill officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Powers was a Randolph County native and was a retired poultry farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Smith Powers, of the home; daughters, Shelia Williamson, Cathy Lopez, Anita Matthews and Lisa Powers, all of Bennett, and Juanita Bennett, of Fayetteville; sons, Paul Powers, of Asheboro, Daniel Powers and James Powers, both of Bennett; brothers, Russell Powers and Curtis Powers Jr., both of Bennett; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
There will be no formal visitation, but friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Friday morning prior to the service.
