Bobbie J. Monroe

Bobbie Jean Monroe, 55, of Aberdeen, best known as “Jason’s Mom” of Jason’s Tire in Aberdeen, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Post No. 72, in Aberdeen, with the Rev. Kevin Thompson officiating. A celebration of life will follow the service.
Born July 27, 1954, in Richmond County, Bobbie was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Ellerbe.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Steve Monroe, of Aberdeen; mother, Jean M. Brooks, of Rockingham; father, A. B. Raines, of Kannapolis; two daughters, Brandi M. Heath and husband, Brian, of Cordova, and Randi M. Smith and husband, Frank, of Candler; two sons, Jason Monroe and wife, Heather, and Shawn Monroe, all of Rockingham; one sister, Carol Rankin, of Greenville; one brother, A. B. Raines Jr., of Rockingham; and three grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Powell Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
