Kenneth Joseph Heyworth, 97, of Belle Meade, Southern Pines died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Belle Meade Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Plowman officiating.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of the late Harry and Isobell Sandwith Heyworth. He retired in 1974 as manager of home sales for Warner and Swasey Company in Cleveland. He moved to Whispering Pines in 1974, and in 1999 moved to Belle Meade in Southern Pines. His wife, Virginia Hamilton Heyworth, preceded him in death.
He is survived by nieces, Carole Parnell, of Sun City West, Ariz., Alice Wasosky, of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Christine Buttes, of Goodyear, Ariz., Tracy Spoon, of Peoria, Ariz., and Alexis Merydith, of Davis, Calif.
