Lawrence Smith, 52, of Carthage, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his father, Benjamin Smith Sr.; a sister, Von Morrison (James), of Carthage; four brothers, Kenneth Smith, of Philadelphia, Pa., Dwight Martin, of Raleigh, Raymond Smith (Mikita) and Charles Smith (Jennifer), of Carthage; two aunts; and eight uncles.
