Kermit McMillan

Kermit “Ike” McMillan, 81, of Aberdeen, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson’s Funeral Home hcapel. Burial will follow at McMillan Family Cemetery, Aberdeen.
Mr. McMillan was born May 31, 1928, to the late John and Susie Locklear McMillan. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Dean McMillan; and two brothers, June McMillan and Jimmy McMillan.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Mary McMillan; six daughters, Joyce Cummings and her husband, Alford, of Aberdeen, Gail Smith and her husband, Charles, of Sanford, Ruth Locklear and her husband, Billy, of Aberdeen, Deborah Willis and her husband, Ander, of Raeford, Anna McMillan, of Sanford, and Selisa Scott, of Raeford; three sons, Ray McMillan and his wife, Gal, of Aberdeen, Johnny McMillan, of Aberdeen, and Ricky McMillan and his wife, Betty, of Raeford; four sisters, Helen Tyler, of Raeford, Myrtle Lowery, of Shannon, Margaret Woods, of Reford, and Mollie Ann McMillan, of Red Springs; three brothers, Wayne McMillan, of Red Springs, Wade McMillan, of Wagram, and William McMillan, of Aberdeen; 22 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
