George L. Sugg Jr.

George Lindsey Sugg Jr., 60, of Southern Pines, went home peacefully to be with the Lord, Friday, March 5, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 13, 1949, in Alexandria, Va., to the late George Lindsey and Sally Hughes Sugg, of Hookerton, N.C.
He graduated from Greene Central High School in Snow Hill, N.C. After attending the School of Automation in Greensboro, he moved to Aberdeen in 1976. There, he started his company, “Custom Sound,” which later became “Sound Security.”
He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Barbara “Bobbie” Sugg; son, John Sugg, of Cameron; daughter, Lisa Ferrell and husband, David; grandson, Zachary Ferrell, of Greenville; two brothers, Mike Sugg and wife, Gail, Paul Sugg and wife, Emily; a sister, Cindy Sugg and husband, Danny, all of Snow Hill, N.C.
The family will receive friends at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, 2010.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on March 8, 2010, at Rainbow Baptist Church in Aberdeen.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on March 8, 2010, at Rainbow Methodist Church in Snow Hill, NC.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Rainbow Baptist Church, P.O. Box 604, Aberdeen, NC 28315.
