Lacy Dunn, 66, of Southern Pines, died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after a brief illness.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church multipurpose building, conducted by the Rev. Gregg Newton. The family will receive friends following the service.
Born in Columbia S.C., to the late Johnny Henry and Pearlie Strickland Dunn, he was a truck driver for Gilbert Horner Paving and had previously worked with S.T. Wooten in Sanford. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Dunn.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Crabtree Dunn, of Carthage; son, Mike Dunn and wife, Kelly, of Southern Pines; daughters, Michelle Dunn, of Carthage, and fiancé, Kevin Stutts, Pam Glenn and husband, Jerry, of Hartsville, S.C.; brothers, John Dunn, of Laurinburg, J.C. Dunn and wife, Faye, of Laurel Hill; sister, Nancy Locklear and husband, G.B., of Pembroke; grandchildren, Sabrina Dunn, Dillon Campbell, Kylee Glenn, Mikayla Dunn, Cody Dunn and Jillianna Glenn.
