Alburn Wall

Alburn Wall, 83, of Carthage, died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at his residence.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Red Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Scott McInnis officiating.
A native of Moore County, he was the son of the late Eugene Wall and Vora Crissman Wall and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a farmer by trade, growing tobacco, raising poultry and being involved in forestry. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the “Over The Hill Gang” at Ponderosa Golf Course. He was preceded in death by a brother, Posey Wall.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Marshall Wall; a daughter, Peggy Morris, of Carthage; sons, Dannie A. Wall, of Carthage, and Michael G. Wall, of Cameron; sisters, Veda Hurley and Ruth Davis, both of Carthage; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home.
