OWENS

Ronald Wayne Owens, 48, of Longleaf Neurological Medical Center in Wilson, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 20, 2010.
Mr. Owens was born Dec. 15, 1961, in West End. He was a grandson of the late Dorothy Black. After being a quadriplegic for almost 30 years, he fought a good fight and finished the race. He had no regrets and looked forward to meeting his Savior.
Surviving are his mother, Sarah Harris, of West End; his father, Ernest Owens Sr. and stepmother, Carolyn, of Lindside, W.Va.; a brother, Ernie Owens and wife, Tina, of West End, a sister, Sandra Talbert, of West End; stepbrothers, Ricky Parish, of High Point, and Wesley Parish, of Long Beach; stepsisters, Levone Ridge and Monica Bentley, of High Point; four nephews, Ethan and Bradley Owens, of West End, Charles Wooland, of Aberdeen, Ryan Wooland, of Fuquay-Varina; and one niece, Tabatha Talbert, of West End.

A graveside service will be held Thursday April 22, at 2 p.m. at the West End Cemetery, with the Rev. Donald Gillis officiating. The family received friends Wednesday, April 21, at Boles Funeral Home in Seven Lakes.
