Bedford Nichols “Pete” Rhew, 76, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 15, 2010.
He was born March 9, 1934, in Roxboro, to Daniel Ruffin and Eddith Lyndell Clayton Rhew. He graduated from West End High School and served in the Army from 1957-1959. He went to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1961. He married Claudia Jean Parker on June 7, 1962. He was successful in the auto parts business and remained in that business until he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia; their two sons, Peter (Kandy), of North Carolina, and Jeff (Sandy) Rhew, of Salt Lake City, Utah; six grandchildren; and a sister, Dora Rhew Dixon, of Bountiful, Utah, who is known in this area.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 22, at noon, Midvale 10th Ward, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of which he was a member, in Sandy, Utah.
