Ruth Ross, 85, of Carthage, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at Pinelake Health and Rehab, Carthage.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 22, at St. Augustine A.M.E. Zion Church, Carthage. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Pugh and Smith Funeral Home, Carthage.
Surviving are two sons, Mordecai Ross (Linda), of Rockingham, and Jesse Ross (Lisa), of Carthage; six sisters, Georgia Dowdy (V.D.) , of Carthage, Gerline Horn, of Wadesboro, Alice Gellespie, of Jackson Hamlet, Dorothy Baldwin, of Fayetteville, Uneeda West (Fred), of Carthage, and Betty Johnson, of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren.
