Jasper “Jap” Blue, 72, of Cameron, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 17, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Zion Church, in Carthage, with the Rev. Wayne Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Pugh and Smith Funeral Home, Carthage.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Blue; one son, David Blue, of Carthage; three daughters, Casandra J. Wright, of Carthage, Carolyn Taylor, of Durham, and Angela Blue, of Winston-Salem; a stepson, Michael McNeill, of Aberdeen; two sisters, Eloise Sellars, of Charlotte, and Alice Hamilton (Billy), of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, John Blue (Mary), of Atlanta, Ga.
