Jasper “Jack” Blevins Jr., 85, of Hampton, Va., died Wednesday, April 7, 2010.
Jack was born Jan. 10, 1925, in Moore County, to the late Jasper and Glennie Blevins. He was an electrician at the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. and retired in 1990 after 38 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Jean; son, Douglas; daughters, Vicki and Kathryn; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; are a brother, David Blevins and his wife, Sue, of Hamlet.
A service was held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.
