Joseph Warren Brock, 60, of Raeford, passed Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Mr. Brock was born July 20, 1949, in Moore County, to the late Robert Thomas Brock and Louise Jones Brock.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at Shiloh Presbyterian Church in Raeford, with the Rev. Steve Hannah officiating. Burial will follow in Pinebluff Cemetery.
Mr. Brock retired from the Department of Corrections after 33 years of service. He was hardworking, kind, very patient, a true romantic and never complained. Mr. Brock enjoyed riding motorcycles and working with his hands and fixing things.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Julie Phillips Brock; a son, Joseph Patrick Brock and wife, Cynthia, of Vass; a daughter, Kimberly Brock Fielder-Jones and husband, Kevin, of Southern Pines; a brother, Wayne Brock and wife, Lauren, of Pinebluff; a sister-in-law, Julie Loving Brock, of Pinebluff; grandchildren, Hunter Brock, Shelby Brock, Chase Brock, Skylar Fielder, Zoie Jones and Zander Jones; nephews, Robbie Brock and T.J. Brock.
Mr. Brock was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Tommy Brock.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
