EISEN
Elizabeth Ann Edmonds Eisen, 70, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas.
She was born Feb. 9, 1940, in Pinehurst. She was a military wife for 30 years. In 1985, she married Irving Eisen and moved to Beaumont, Texas. In Beaumont, Elizabeth served as co-chair of Lamar University Art and Music Foundation, was a board member of both Baptist and St. Elizabeth hospitals, co-chair of the Texas Energy Museum and chaired the revitalization committee of the Jefferson Theater, for which she received an award. She was a business owner in Beaumont and San Antonio. In San Antonio, she sponsored foreign students from the Defense Language Institute. Beth carried herself through life with exceptional grace, was kind to all she met and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving M. Eisen. She is survived by her soul mate, David Bamberger; children, Robert Allgood and wife, Heather; Elizabeth Dawn Hayes and husband, Danny; Col. Joy Berchin Ream, U.S. Army (ret.) and husband, Robin; Robin Kressbach and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Richard, Christopher, Courtney, Michael and Jacob Allgood, Gabriel Ream, Jonathan, Benjamin and Michael Kressbach, Justin Saint-Jacques; and four great-grandchildren. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 10, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at Porter Loring North chapel.
Interment will be held at a later date in Cameron.
