Michael Joseph Cappiello, 66, of Pinehurst, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst with his wife by his side.
Born Oct. 29, 1943, in Brockton, Mass., to the late Michael J. Cappiello and Beatrice Noreika Cappiello, Mr. Cappiello worked for Gillette Company for 22 years, and then worked for the Society of St. James in Boston. He and his wife, Donna, retired to Pinewild in 2004. He enjoyed cooking and was known for his famous cheesecakes.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna Cappiello; two sons, Jeffrey Cappiello and wife, Mary, of Waiconia, Minn., and Gregory Cappiello and wife, Victoria, of Tyngsboro, Mass. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Ryan Cappiello, Nicole Cappiello, Julia Cappiello, Antonia Cappiello and and Alexis Cappiello.
A private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
