If you were interested, you watched the U.S. Senate question the secretary of defense, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs and earlier, the secretary of state on the attack of our consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
The questioning of Hillary Clinton by the Democratic members was almost completely praise of her good works as secretary of state. They forgot their questions. The Republicans actually did the job. Questions of the two gentlemen were somewhat more professional.
After knowing for months before the Benghazi consulate attack that it was ill-defended and with Ambassador Stevens pleading with the State Department to provide security and being refused, nothing happened.
Yes, Clinton said she took full responsibility. What does that mean to the families of four dead Americans? How about future State Department employees that might find themselves in a similar place?
The one question that no one asked was: Why was the consulate not closed down? Yes, Clinton said she demanded that the host government provide security, which is diplomatic protocol. Great, but when that government can’t or won’t provide security, why wasn’t that facility evacuated like the Brits did or the Red Cross did?
Are Americans considered expendable by the Obama administration? Was it because that would look bad for the Obama foreign policy?
Those four Americans didn’t have to die. And the Democrats think Clinton is so wonderful. Do you want her for president?

Pretty simple unfortunately. The Obama administration deliberately mislead the American public that this was in reaction to a video and not the Al Quaida terrorist attack that it was known from the offset. Why? Because in the heat of the election, Obama and Biden were going around saying Al Quaida is dead and GM is alive. The talking points election would have taken a major hit if Al Quaida was alive and just killed the first American ambassador in 30 years. Luckily the lap-dog media chose to completely ignore the truth and go after Romney for his comments. Now we have a cover-up that makes Watergate look like a pool party and where is CNN investigative reports? Making and drinking koolaide for it's duped viewers. Where was Obama the day after the terrorist attack killing our ambassador and 3 seals? In Las Vegas naturally, campaigning, Axelrod had it all covered...(up)

It would be refreshing if Democrats were interested in getting to the bottom of this instead of the usual rubber stamping the administrations line. One would think this issue would be spared the lib vs conservative horse squeeze that is customary.

Congrats! You should happy as a pig in slop... now on with our previously scheduled march to tyranny..

The Republicans actually did the job. Questions of the two gentlemen were somewhat more professional.
No. they behaved like arrogant petulant jerks, which of course endears them to the arrogant petulant jerks who make up the right wing.
And yet, when it was over, Hillary Clinton was polling as the most popular political figure in the country, and Rand Paul was around 30% approval.
Looks like Mr. Killingstad's a little out of touch with the world. Bet he assumed till the bitter end that Romney was going to win in a landslide because "no one likes Obama."
The rest of the world has acknowledged, as Mrs. Clinton did, that the State Department should have had better security at the Benghazi consulate, and moved on. And while yes, people on both sides of the aisle mourn the loss of American lives, no one is still dwelling on this issue except the right wing lunatic fringe who still holds out the pathetic and rather crazy hope that it'll bring down the President they couldn't defeat.
Someday the very last of these old angry rabid wingers will shuffle off this mortal coil, thrashing and foaming in their last throes of spastic rage, their final breaths a reedy, pitiful wheeze of “ooobaaaama liiieed about Benghaaaazi…” and everyone will go “what the devil was that old fool babbling about?”

Yes, dangerous indeed. The last ambassador killed was in 1979. Of course no one on here is suprised that Jim H, DR, et al are dismissing the unneccesary deaths of these 4 brave men but is there not ONE Democrat politician who smells a rat here and would like to get to the bottom of it?

It is pretty obvious to most intelligent people that this was a terrorist attack within 24 hours. Hilllary is complety complicit is perpetuating the lie that this was a "spontaneous demonstration". A week later Petreaus marches out there (under threat from Obama no doubt since he knew about the affiar) saying the facts are inconclusive, total joke. And yet Obama marches out Rice 2 weeks later saying it still points in the direction of a video and the investigation is on-going. As much as the democratic/socialist party wants to ignore that all of the facts that this is the biggest scandal since watergate, sooner or later people are going to talk. Maybe someone will offer protection from Obama for a survivor to come forward and explain what he or she saw, but right now the Chicago bully has put the muzzle on all the survivors. The more this president leads, the more he resembles Hugo Chavez.

Why this is a partisan issue is beyond me. Shouldn't we all want to know what led to the death of Americans in Benghazi? If survivors are indeed being asked to keep their mouths shut, Why isn't that something we all would want to know more about? What is wingnutty about caring for dead Americans and wanting answers?

GC, Not only what lead to the deaths but what was happening during the 8 hours of fighting and then why in the heck did the State Department AND the Obama Administration continue top project this was a mob who spontaneously attacked the emabassy when it was plainly obvious this was a coordinated terrorist attack. I think folks like DR and JH would rather put their heads in the sand. I guaran-damn-tee you if this had happened during a republican administration this would make abu-garib look like chicken feed, since Americans actually died and the nature of their deaths was deliberately concealed because of an election.

Well, Chief, let's hear from the Ambassador's family:
The father of Chris Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya who was murdered in a terrorist attack in Benghazi last month, has said it would be 'abhorrent' to turn his son's death into political fodder in the battle for the White House. 'It would really be abhorrent to make this into a campaign issue,' said Jan Stevens, 77. 'The security matters are being adequately investigated. 'We don’t pretend to be experts in security. It has to be objectively examined. That’s where it belongs. It does not belong in the campaign arena.'
Seems to me that turning the Ambassador's death into a political issue...which is exactly what you're doing...is the real disrespect, and the family agrees.

The American people were being told the terrorist attack was a spontaneous riot due to an American made movie on Mohammad. The media carried that load for Obama knowing that the truth might have hurt his chances of re-election. Imagine blaming your own with a lie before taking the time to find out the truth. Like I said, this thing will dog the president until the truth is uncovered.
Interesting that our government thought a movie was volatile enough to put out a hash-head story that it led to the attacks. They blanketed the Sunday News shows with the fabrication, constant on the regular news. Wonder what would happen if Rhoades wrote one of hit pieces on Mohammad? Maybe the administration would blame him for the next Bhenghazi. How's that column coming anyway, funny boy?

Let me help you Toda, the last ambassador was killed in 1979. First one in 34 years and he didn't have to die. Has anyone ever stopped long enough to think about the mechanics of Obama's fabrication that it was a ant-Muslim movie that caused Benghazi? First of all, who could possibly have thought that blaming Americans for an attack on America would be a good idea? What kind of mindset in charge of America's foreign policy wants to blame America first? Who came up with the idea? Who was it that even knew such a movie existed?
It's the fabrication of this bizarre story that tells us this administration must have something to hide. And if they don't, then this is one unbelievably sick way to protect your chances for re-election.
JimHeim 1 month, 4 weeks ago
fugitveguy - Where do you get this stuff? The ambassador specifically rejected security provided by Blackwater (or whatever name they were hiding under at the time) for that trip. How could you not know that?
The story about denied security is vastly overblown. A verbal request for more security at Tripoli (300 miles away) was made months before the incident. And, since the Republican Congress cut $300 million form the State Department's budget, such a request would likely have been problematical. The idea that three to five additional guards that far away would have prevented this is silly.
In any event, the ambassador would have been aware of the situation and still chose to go there without even a private security detail. Your case is weak.
geoff - The movie stuff came from our embassy in Libya at the time. How could Obama have fabricated it?
This campaign to turn the ambassador's death into a political movement never got off the ground and is fading fast. But keep kicking that chicken. It helps us keep track of you.

And ethnic cleansing of Bosnian Serbs had the loony left up in arms while that same cleansing by Saddam Hussein in Iraq is of no consequence. The protection of human life, as the left continually proves, depends on which human lives are concerned, which president is in office at the time of cleansing, and what steps are then taken by the United States.

"Who cares..." the comment made by Hillary Clinton in the Senate hearings just isn't good enough.

fugitiveguy ~ you mentioned my constant overview of county government.
I also had several very cordial lunches with Nick Picerno. I didn't agree with him on many issues face to face. During our conversations, I said one of the issues is getting their message out to the people of Moore County. I knew last year or longer that Wayne Vest was in line for County Manager. I was asked on a couple of meetings what I thought about having a county manager without previous experience? I also suggested a county news letter similar to the Bonacord in Aberdeen. To let the people know what is going on...but there are subliminal analogies as well. Chairman Picerno and his team are now resorting to micromanaging county government; department heads and managers are responsible for budgeting their departments. Not elected officials looking inward without department insight on a daily operational basis. Also, Mr. Picerno has higher political aspirations in Raleigh or Washington. He has a difficult hill to climb with Southern Software LLC lingering in the background and how an absent of bids on software and hardware for county government....A lot more ....

BO is VERY good at giving speeches, that is what he is good at. He gave many many speeches about PPACA, how you get to keep your health plan (utter bs), how it will bring costs down (utter bs), make businesses more competitve (yet to be seen). I am here to tell you PPACA is an oncoming train wreck of the likes never seen before. Underneath it all is a plan to move to single-payer system a la England, but MOST importantly, it is a massive redistribution of wealth. And not just from the wealthy to the low income, but the middle class to the low income. A vast sea of mediocrity and income redistribution. No one is talking about, nor is it being covered in the news. It is massively complex, HUGE buereaucraticly, in short it is FUBAR. Those who have read this post, remember what pulled pork said come this september, especially if you pay for your own insurance, if you are under age 50, you will be hosed. I love reading y'all comments like you know what you're talking about when it comes to PPACA. JH and TOAD, like I said you need to read up on wtf PPACA is and not rely on your bs articles. Nice effort on last of the industrial countries though... only problem is costs, expenses and premiums are going to skyrocket even further in 2014. Seriously, I can't blame you for your ignorance, you don't know any better. I'll continue to school you along out of the kindness of my conservative heart. What is going to happen, if you REALLY want to get deep, is the risk and cost of health insurance is going to be transferred from insurance companies to the American TAXPAYER, i.e., those who PAY taxes. Insurance comapnies can't profit more than 15%. There is no incentive to take risk. In essence, they are being paid 15% to process claims while the taxpayer foots the bill. Small groups below fifty, if they are healthy, are going to go bye bye unless their employer is making gobs of money. I can go further, but I don't want to feed you too much that you can't digest it. I'll give you littler liberal bites so your brain doesn't freeze up.. just think about what I said and ponder. Rates on average for North Carolinians who buy their own insurance are going to go up 30% minimum. NOW, if you make less thann $45,000, you will get subsidy relief...now just relax and think about that...if you can wrap your mind around something that isn't Time or Newsweek..

Dusty, I believe you've just been bested by wdd101st's "Why I am PROUD to be a RIGHT wingnut" post. Sometimes the truth in humour must be acknowledged.
wdd101st, Thanks for sharing a very funny, yet true, defense on behalf of all the proud Wingnut's!

Pulled Pork => cooked swine cooked over a grill or open fire pit and trimmed of grease and other artery clogging fat. Good with hot sauce, beans for flatulence and a lifetime of stints as well as triple bypasses...bypass pulled pork since it's not healthy.
TOAD ~ for a wannabe academic your spelling sucks ... can't even copy and paste an acronym. And who is academically challenged as well as being an idiot? School time: CTL + C is the copy command and CTL + V is a paste command....

TOAD TOAD TOAD, tch tch... have a sense of humor little guy...sheesh, did you think I really meant Canada has 150 people, lol, you my friend are grasping for anything to alleviate my schooling you. Face it brother, you don't know jack-squat about PPACA (besides Chris Matthews talking points)if that is all you can come back with, LOL! Go ahead and try and refute anything I've said with FACTS.. problem is, I know the facts, you don't, and you know I know you don't. You are a tool for the left in more ways than one. Did you check out PPACA at the Congressional Research Service website? I'm guessing your interest in the facts didn't take you that far where you actually wanted to LEARN....that requires EFFORT.. at least I'm smart enough not to mouth off about something I don't have a full grasp of like I'm some kind of authority on it. But alas, that is exactly what you have done Toad, tch tch tch...poor guy, kind of feel sorry for you...btw, that's a joke! lol

1. wingnut
n. An outspoken, irrational person with deeply-held, nominally conservative, political views. A person who chooses on principle to be flagrantly ignorant. A "right-wing nut".

O' king of Bull Sh*t ... the way you come off with your diatribes and condescending remarks, I thought you were an obsessed psychotic hearing voices ... one in need of psychotherapy.
Apparently you don't know me ... that's why most cowards hide behind stupid screen names, gray images of Kim Yung Un as their avatars, while tossing out childish insults to people you don't know. Keep hiding wussy....

"Wingnut" (sometimes "wing-nut") is used in United States politics as a political slur referring to a person who holds extreme, and often irrational, political views usually with a religious overtone. According to Merriam-Webster, it is "a mentally deranged person" or "one who advocates extreme measures or changes : radical."[1] In American politics, the term is more often aimed at members of the political right than those of the political left,[2] for which the alternative term moonbat is more often used. The New York Times' David M. Herszenhorn has defined a "wing nut" as "a loud darling of cable television and talk radio whose remarks are outrageous but often serious enough not to be dismissed entirely."[3]
Responding to its use in an essay by Peter Coyote, Sean Parnell of the Center for Competitive Politics wrote:
Moreover, you're [sic] use of the term "wing-nut minorities" is interesting for one who decries the incivility of political discourse today. I haven't read the new and updated Miss Manners for Politics yet, but I'm guessing I'm not going to find a section in there approving of the use of pejorative namecalling and broadly delegitimizing and demonizing your opponents.[4]
"Moonbat", now that's just funny.

TOAD, this will get you started. The recent updates as far as FPL levels for subsidies aren't included, which is vital, but you get the picture, enjoy and welcome to the real world of PPACA.. btw, this is Charlie Rengel's summary (or his lackies summary), a real left wingnut's view! :)

I'll put the term wingnut on hiatus for a while.
I'll stick with the much more applicable "moron."
That'll give you a chance to wallow in your self righteous hypocritical outrage a little while longer.

Well, TOAD et al, I'm going to go back to the real world and break some rocks. I think TOAD has had his share of pulled pork literally and figurativley.. you all take good care, and come this september and october, just remember what pulled pork said about PPACA... a socialist trainwreck that does nothing to reduce costs and does more to transfer wealth than anything in the history of our country. Leaves the bill at the taxpayers front door (based on income).. the more you make, the more you pay... remember the wise words of pulled pork... eastern style

Back to the topic at hand, have any of the major news agencies done any type of fact finding reporting on Benghazi other than Fox? There used to be a time when the MSM would be all over somthing like this as opposed to simply taking the word of the administration.
JimHeim 1 month, 4 weeks ago
fugitveguy - Maybe Limbaugh? Levin? Beck? You know, the giants.
fugitiveguy 1 month, 4 weeks ago
Jim, what does that mean? I asked a legitimate question, I know you know the answer. I take it the answer is HELL NO. The MSM couldn't be less interested in the truth of Benghazi, actually they are in as much as they don't want it to see the light of day. If there was nothing there that would make Obama's admin look bad they would be more than happy to report it.
fugitiveguy 1 month, 4 weeks ago
You mentioned Limbaugh, Levin and Beck. Levin is my favorite by far, staunch conservative, lawyer, best selling author, very popular radio show, prolific dog lover, constitutional expert, strong supporter of our military. May I ask who are some of your favorite liberal media personalities? Anybody we've heard of ?
dustyrhoades 1 month, 4 weeks ago
Remember your basic right wing rhetoric:
What they say: "The press is covering up this story." What they mean: "The press won't report our half-truths, distortions, paranoid fantasies, unsourced rumours from foreign papers, and outright lies as if they were facts."
fugitiveguy 1 month, 4 weeks ago
Who has done any investigative journalism about Benghazi other than Fox DR? Please enlighten us. Has any of the bigs reported anything except what they were fed by the administration? How exactly did you come to the conclusion that we know all the pertinant facts? Perhaps just for a few minutes we could set the partisan crap aside. Its largely the administrations fault there is such skepticism, they led off with a bold faced lie and perpetuated that lie for a couple of weeks. Of course, I am sure you have reconciled that away too.
fugitiveguy 1 month, 4 weeks ago
"The press won't report our half-truths, distortions, paranoid fantasies, unsourced rumours from foreign papers, and outright lies as if they were facts."
What have they reported other than the official admin version? Who has done ANY digging? Since when does the press believe everything the gov tells them. Try to respond without using the word "Bush"
