A recent letter to The Pilot titled “Something’s Wrong” (March 6) addressed the excessive billing of FirstHealth services.
After reading the Time magazine article “Bitter Pill: Why Medical Bills Are Killing Us” (Feb. 20, 2013), light is being shed on so-called nonprofit hospitals and why medical cost are so excessive. It is worth the read.
Hopefully there will be more investigative reporting on this issue.
