Sheriff's Office Seeks Info in Attempted Kidnapping

Sheriff Lane Carter is requesting assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for the attempted Kidnapping of a 13 year old child. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. March 14, 2013 near the intersection of River Road and Glendon-Carthage Road. This area is near the Moore, Lee and Chatham county lines in the Glendon area of Moore County.
The suspect is described as a black male between 30 to 40 years old. He is bald and clean
shaven. He is 5’10” to 6’ 0” tall, medium build, and a medium to dark complexion. He was wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans with black boots. The victim describes him as having a deep voice.
The suspect was driving a dark colored older model small truck possibly black or dark blue. The truck is a two wheel drive two door without an extended cab.
