The Episcopal Day School is hosting their annual Scholastic Book Fair on March 13-15.
This event is geared to excite children and their families about reading and learning.
The theme is "Space: Rocket into Reading!"
The Scholastic Book Fair will offer the most popular books and educational products for all ages, including the newest titles, award-winners, classics, and interactive products from more than 150 publishers.
"Parents, children, teachers, friends, neighbors and the entire community are invited to attend our space odyssey," says the spokesman.
The Book Fair helps the school because families are encouraged to buy and donate books to classroom libraries.
Visitors to the Fair can check each teacher's Classroom Wish List, then purchase and donate a requested book, helping teachers develop a rich array of learning resources for the community children.
In addition, Episcopal Day School will use the funds raised at the Book Fair to purchase essential library resources and support school projects.
"We're having a special family/community event Tuesday, March 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to celebrate the joy of reading, and there will be book characters, refreshments, door prizes and lots of astronauts and aliens," says the spokesman.
