SP Police Bring Charges in Connection with Break-ins

Southern Pines police have arrested and charged a Southern Pines man in connection with a string of recent break-ins.

Travon Devante Perkins, 19, was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony common law robbery and felony identity theft.

The arrest stems from an investigation by the patrol and investigation Divisions into daytime burglaries which have occurred in Southern Pines. These burglaries occurred between Feb. 12 and Feb. 21 at homes on North Valley Road, Arbutus Road and Pine Grove Road in Southern Pines.

The Southern Pines Police Department is reminding the community to continue to report any and all suspicious individuals, vehicles or incidents to the Southern Pines Police Department by calling 910-692-7031 or by dialing 911.
