Two Charged in Break-in

A male and a female have been arrested and charged in connection with a break-in reported in Vass in mid-January, Sheriff Lane Carter said.

On Wednesday, Jan. 30, Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested Brian David Godfrey, 26, of 106 Bruce’s Court, Vass. Godfrey was charged with one count felony breaking and entering, one count felony larceny after breaking and entering and one count of felony possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Moore County jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

Investigators also arrested Jonna Lynn Graves, 31, of 1013 US Highway 1, Cameron. Graves was with charged one count felony breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny after breaking and entering and one count of felony possession of stolen goods. She was placed in the Moore County jail under a $5000.00 secured bond.

Both subjects are scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on Jan. 13.

The arrests stem from an investigation into a report made on Jan. 13 of a breaking and entering to a residence in the Vass area of Moore County. The victim, Mayra Gusman, advised she had returned home from a trip to find her television along with other items missing from her home.
