The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) at Fort Bragg is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification of individuals(s) in a white vehicle involved in a fatal accident with an Army Humvee.

The incident happened at 7:05 a.m. Sept. 12. Army investigators say witnesses reported a white vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Impala, was traveling west on Plank Road at a high rate of speed, passing vehicles in a military convoy, said special agent Blake Furman.

The vehicle passed the entire convoy, but it forced a vehicle traveling east on Plank Road to slam on its brakes and eventually force the Humvee of the road. One person in the Humvee died and two others were injured, Furman said.

The vehicle is believed to be a 2006 or newer model Impala, possibly with bright or halogen headlights, tinted windows and custom wheel rims.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Fort Bragg CID at (910) 396-8777 or the Fort Bragg military police at (910) 396-0391.

I just realized this happened over 4 months ago. Chances of a lead developing from a news story would seem to have been much greater had it been posted closer to the time of the event. Not cracking on the Pilot, I don't believe they sat on the story.
