This year's festival is scheduled for April 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival features a variety of musicians, dancers and street entertainers, including activities for both children and adults.

The event is held annually on East 3rd Avenue between Main and Cross streets in Red Springs to showcase arts, crafts and dance talent from Robeson County and the surrounding area. Set-up times for booths vary per individual, but it's best to arrive early to find a good spot.

"Food vendors have the opportunity to do well, as the event draws hundreds of people from outside Red Springs, as well as local citizens," says a spokesman.

The Red Springs Street Festival is supported by a Grassroots Arts Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency.
