The Southern Middle School Theatre Arts Group announces its presentation of two one-act shows on Friday, Jan. 25, and Saturday, Jan. 26, at Southern Middle School. The shows will start at 7 p.m., and all tickets are $3.

This year, SMS Theatre will be presenting a drama and comedy to follow up last year's high successful farce "The Greek Mythological Olympiaganza."

The drama is titled "Virtual Family," and it explores what could happen when we start to rely heavily on electronic devices for living.

The comedy is called "Don't Blame Me, I'm Just the Playwright." Through the show we follow two new writers trying to stage their first production as producers, directors and other assistants continually change the original script.

Both shows will run on both nights. All proceeds go to the Theatre Arts Group. Shows will also be presented at the North Carolina Theatre Conference Middle School Play Festival on March 16 at Pinecrest High School.
