SP Plans Work on Weymouth Water Tank

Southern Pines has scheduled maintenance on its elevated water storage facilities off North Ridge Street between the Weymouth Center and Penick Village beginning Monday.

The Weymouth tank will be drained and out of service for about two months while the work is to be completed, a news release said. The interior of the tank, as well as the exterior of the tank, will be cleaned and repainted as part of this scheduled maintenance.

There may be periods of time when the town's water system could experience lower water pressure because of the tank being out of service.

Anyone who has problems or concerns can contact David White, assistant town manager, director of public services, at (910) 692.2463 or by email at white@southernpines.net.
