The Guild of St. Joseph of the Pines will hold its annual luncheon and card party Friday, Jan. 25, at Belle Meade Resort in Southern Pines, which features duplicate bridge.

Party bridge, mah-jongg bunco and canasta will also be available. Duplicate players should sign up with a partner. Other game players should sign up in foursomes and bring their own game supplies.

David Rogers will direct duplicate bridge, and Master points will be awarded. Joan Haley, the Guild president, extends a special invitation to men in the community to attend.

Non-card-players are encouraged to attend for a delicious luncheon and social afternoon.

The cost is $25 per person. Doors will open at 11 a.m. with a wine bar and the ever-popular jewelry sale run by Petie Graeter.

Luncheon is at noon in the dining room of Belle Meade.

The mission of the Guild is to improve the quality of life for the residents of St. Joseph of the Pines Health Center and can be accomplished only through fundraisers, dues and donations from loving people, says a spokesman.

The Guild welcomes new members, contributions and volunteers.

"This is the only fundraiser for the Guild this year, and we appreciate your support," says the spokesman.

Reservations may be sent to Petie Graeter, 130 Steeplechase Way, Southern Pines, NC 28387. Checks should be made payable to St. Joseph of the Pines (SJOP) Guild.
