The Southern Pines Police Department announces that a Strong Arm Robbery took place at approximately 6:00 pm January 8, 2013 on Dean Ave, Southern Pines, North Carolina. The victim was assaulted during this robbery but did not require medical treatment.

There were two suspects in this incident and they were described as follows; both black males, one was 5’09” – 6’00”, 175-190 lbs. The second suspect was described as 5’09”- 6’00”, 190-200 lbs. One suspect was reported to be wearing a black jacket with a red fitted hat. The second suspect was described as wearing a white tee-shirt and basketball shorts. There was no weapon displayed in this incident and both suspects fled the scene on foot. Members of the Patrol and Investigation Divisions from the Southern Pines Police Department responded to the scene.

The investigation to date has led investigating officers to believe that one of the suspects may have been struck by a vehicle while attempting to flee the scene.
