Southern Pines

The Southern Pines Police Department provided the following information.

Arrests

Dec. 23: Vincent Michael Verbal, 31, of Aberdeen, simple assault and battery or affray; Charlie Trevoin Smith, 17, of Southern Pines, carrying concealed weapon, display of firearms on municipal property, discharge of BB and air guns and discharge or carrying of firearms or weapons; Shemika Yolanda Monroe, 30, of Pinebluff, two counts of assault on a law enforcement office, two counts of resisting a public officer, and disorderly conduct (nonspecific disturbing the peace).

Dec. 24: Herbert Jeffrey Turner Jr., 21, of Pinehurst, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia; Strarrius Ayana Benton, 23, of Jacksonville, Ala., drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dec. 27: Charles Wesley Seagraves Jr., 28, of Hoffman, two counts misdemeanor larceny and felony larceny.

Dec. 29: Rita Williams Vample, 46, of Southern Pines, two counts of financial identity fraud, two counts drive while license suspended or revoked, false information/fail to surrender license, open container and speeding-exceeding speed limits in school zones.

Reports

Dec. 27: Female, 36, reported the theft of jewelry and a video game console from a home in the 700 block of West Connecticut Avenue.

Dec. 28: Female, 28, reported being shoved and verbally threatened during an incident at a home in the 200 block of North Page Street; Female, 48, reported receiving threatening phone calls and text messages.

Dec. 29: Female, 44, reported the theft of a purse and its contents after a break-in of a vehicle in the 900 block of South Gaines Street.

Dec. 31: Male, 22, reported the theft of an amplifier following a car break-in in the 200 block of Trimble Plant Road; Female, 46, reported the theft of keys from a home in the 200 block of North Page Street; Male, 40, reported the theft of a car radio face plate from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Sandy Avenue.

Jan. 1: An employee of Fox Hollow Assisted Living, 190 Fox Hollow Way, reported the theft of a painting from the business.
