Moore County Sheriff's investigators have charged a West End woman with attempting to obtain painkillers by altering a prescription, according to Sheriff Lane Carter.

Carter reports that Dana Rosario Fierro, 32, of 143 Overlook Drive, is charged with felony attempt to obtain controlled substance by fraud, and felony attempt to traffic in Opiates by possession. She was arrested today. The charges resulted from an investigation conducted by Sheriff's investigators. Authorities say Fierro attempted to fraudulently obtain Oxycodone, a Schedule II controlled substance.

Fierro received a $10,000.00 unsecured bond and was released.
