Obama Needs Some Lessons

Those of you who know me know that I didn’t vote for our president. However, I’m a 30-year regular Armyretired soldier, so he is my commander-in-chief.

I try my best to accept his shortcomings and bite my lip when I want to say something ugly about him.

After watching him perform for four years as commander-in-chief, I feel obligated to suggest to him that he at least learn the basic rules of an officer and a gentleman.

It only took him about two years of on-the-job training (OJT) to learn the proper hand salute.

When he returns a serviceman’s salute, he owes more than a flip of the hand while reaching to shake the hand of some dignitary he is greeting whenhe reaches the last step to the tarmac while dismounting from Air Force One.

The OJT has helped. Now if he could just learn not to walk around the White House and other places in public view with his hands in his pockets, he would at least look more like a commander-in-chief.

This rule can be taught by any drill sergeant in a matter of minutes.

I can live with his presidential indecisiveness and blaming all of the country’s problems on President Bush, but I pray he at least makes a New Year’s resolution to at least try to act like a commander-in-chief and get his hands out of his pockets.

At least he is not lining his pockets—like a lot of Congressmen allegedly do.

Wow, talk about not being able to do anything right to the Obama haters, now we are down to putting your hands in your pockets when you walk! Unbelievable!

Hands in his pockets, wow that's important. Maybe he took his military etiquite instruction from the Air Force, after all, in the Army, your pockets are called 'air force gloves.'

Colin, leave the man alone. At least as long as he keeps his hands in his pockets he won't be able to reach into my pocket.

Middleman522, what does your posting this link say about you. The Investigative Project is run by Steven Emerson, an anti-Muslim zealot who, for instance, blamed the Oklahoma City bombing on Muslims. He continued to tell all who would listen right up until the time that red blooded American Tim McVeigh and his band of patriots were tried and convicted. You can find someone who will say what you want to hear, but that doesn't make it correct.

Just sayin. You needed a blue dress to be convinced that Slick Willie was a liar. I did not! What does that say about you? Barry is up to his neck in Radicals working for him! It would explain the mess he has made of the Middle East!

Middleman522, I didn't need anything to tell me Bill Clinton was a liar. You know why? Because EVERYONE is a liar, including you and me. Next, define your meaning of "radicals". Then show me proof of those in the current administration that fit your definition. Finally, is it your belief and contention that the Middle East was not a mess prior to 2009 and that it is worse now than it was then? Are we still at war in Iraq? Are we on the verge of leaving Afghanistan after 12 years of an insane and stupid war that will leave us exactly where we started? I respect your right to be wrong.

The Middle East has been a mess for several thousand years and will be for several thousand more regardless of what we do.

True Courseaire true. These conflicts date back to biblical times and encompasses every fiber of their being.

Courseaire (3 hours, 16 min. ago)-- "The Middle East has been a mess for several thousand years and will be for several thousand more regardless of what we do." Sadly, I believe you are correct, unless we can completely eliminate Muslim terrorists. No small feat there. Cheers, and you remain the funniest guy on these threads!

Russell you are so wrong and typically liberal assuming everyone lies. Yes Egypt is worse, and Iran is worse, and Iraq is falling apart again, and Libya is a mess, and add China flexing as well as Puten, and N Korea firing missiles. Are you that liberally blind. A tax cheat for Treasury Sec. Van Jones, Eric "pardon terrorists" Holder as well as racist. Rahm and Axelrod. NLRB, environmentalists everywhere, and I know you think they are just fine. And so lame generalizing about Clinton. You libs always say everyone cheats, everyone lies. Well NO Everyone does not. Just your liberal copout! You're sad!

Yes fellows the mess is there, but we had mess agreements with Egypt and Libya that kept us and Israel out of it. Bush and Barry let Iran go unchecked. More radical Islamists are in control now than ever and that's not good for anyone except OPEC who will raise prices.

Middleman522, you claim that you have NEVER lied? That very claim proves my assertion.
