Longleaf Garden Club has had a busy season. At the Nov. 17 meeting, Larry Cohen, Master Gardener, gave a talk on "The Propagation of Houseplants."

This informative presentation answered questions about various houseplants, and their care and propagation. Most members who attended were given small sections of ferns and aloes to take home.

In December, as part of the club's current community project, the chapel at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital was decorated for the holidays. New floral arrangements will be provided each month for the chapel by Longleaf members. Also in December, the club held its annual Christmas luncheon at the Pine Crest Inn. A business meeting was conducted by President Sue Scull, and a gift swap concluded the occasion.

The next meeting is on Jan. 17, and will focus on "Unique Containers for Floral Designs." Anyone wishing to attend as a guest may contact Sue Scull at scull.sue@gmail.com.
