Sheriff Lane Carter reported his office received information from the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office on February 4, 2013 on the behalf of a 12 year old juvenile. The juvenile had run away from her residence in Scotland County. When Located by Scotland County Deputies she told them she had been sexually assaulted by her mother’s boyfriend when they lived in Moore County.

On February 20, 2013 Moore County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Andrew Edward White, 27, of 5731 Randleman Street, Fayetteville, N.C. White was charged with one count felony indecent liberties with a child, one count felony sex offense parental role, one count misdemeanor sexual battery, one count misdemeanor assault on a child under 12, and one count misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor. White was confined in the Moore County Detention Center under a $125,000.00 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for March 13, 2013 in Moore County District Court in Carthage N.C.

The investigation also revealed that Andrew White had been charged with similar offenses by the Fayetteville Police Department in April of 2004.
