West End Woman Faces Felony Drug Charges

The Southern Pines Police Department has arrested Charlyne Marie DeVane, 42 years of age, of West End, North Carolina on the charges of felony possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony maintain vehicle or dwelling to keep controlled substance; felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

This arrest stems from an investigation by the Patrol Division relating to a disturbance and subsequent driving while impaired arrest which was reported on Friday, Feb. 15 to the Southern Pines Police Department. This incident took place at approximately 11:30 a.m. at 1904 Sandhills Blvd.

DeVane appeared before a Moore County Magistrate and was remanded to the Moore County jail with $15,000 secured bond pending a hearing in Moore County district court on Feb. 28.
