How I'd love to attend this but as I'll be the other side of the world, it's impossible. I would REALLY like to know why my watermelons turn black and rot from the flower end every chuffing year despite trying all the internet remedies (Lime, Epsom salts, bone & blood meal). I use raised beds so can control the soil ph. Any ideas?

@ greatbrit, Try mulching your raised beds, Watermelon need at least one inch of water per week in the form of rain or supplemental irrigation , but the key is consistency, don't let the soil get too wet or too dry , keep the water level even and this should fix your problem.
