Hole-in-One: Chris Mastaler scored her ace Feb. 2 while playing the Legacy Golf Course. Chris used her 11-wood to cover the 102 yards to the 17th green. Terri Watt, Mattie Jakobsen and Joan Sondag were witnesses to this, the fifth hole-in-one of her golf career.
Longleaf: The Longleaf Ladies played Feb. 7 in a Stableford tournament. Pat Koubek won with 35 points, and Irene Blakeman had 34 points.
The Men’s Golf Association played Feb. 6 in a team event with one best net ball needed on the front nine and two best net balls on the back nine. Full handicaps were used for scoring. Hugh Miner, Dave Adinolfi, Fritz Baukhages and David Williams, 23 under par. Jim Bahler, Ted Gleason, Lee Moore and Kevin Rowland, 21 under par.
Pinewild: The Men’s Golf Association played Jan. 31, in a red tee scramble, on the Holly Course. David Stackhouse, Glenn Manich, Walt Kaczynski, Jim Nemeth, 14 under par. Tom Clark, Ted Davison, Bill Kennedy, Gil Underwood, 14 under par. Mike Critzer, Peter Nehlsen, Tom Greene, Ted Kenny, 13 under par.
Closest to the pin on No. 3 was Snuffy Smith, on No. 8 it was Scott Parker, and on No. 12 it was Ted Davison.
Pinehurst: The Men’s Golf Association played a Nassau tournament Jan. 29, on Course No. 6, in a format of one best ball on odd holes and two best balls on even holes.

The Women’s Golf Association played Feb. 7th in a game called “a horse is a horse.” The format was one best ball on holes one, two, three, four, 15, 16, 17, 18.

The Lakers held their first Cordial Cup/low putts contest of 2013 on Feb. 6.

Midland: The Men’s Golf Association played a Nassau tournament Feb. 6. Overall: Paul Cottam, Ed Campbell, Henry Fuhrmann, Bill Paris, net 119. Jim Braunscheidel won low gross with 84.
The 9-Holers played a skins game and a low net competition. Lee Hancock won the only skin on No. 8. Mike Lloyd won low net with 35.
Whispering Pines: The Men’s Golf Association played Feb. 6 in a guilt free tournament. The format was two best balls of the foursome.
