Judson Theatre's 'Driving Miss Daisy' Part of Palustris Festival

Morgan Sills, executive producer for Judson Theatre Company, announces that the organization will open its second season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic play "Driving Miss Daisy" from Thursday, March 21, through Sunday, March 24, at Owens Auditorium, Sandhills Community College, located at 3395 Airport Road in Pinehurst.
Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with matinee performances Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m.
Four-time Emmy Award winner Michael Learned, of "The Waltons," and Lance E. Nichols, of HBO’s "Treme" and the Oscar-winning film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" star in Alfred Uhry’s heartwarming and humorous story of the unlikely friendship between a crotchety Southern lady and her proud chauffeur. The production is directed by Judson Theatre Company’s artistic director, Daniel Haley.
Judson Theatre Company is the resident professional theater company of Sandhills Community College.
"Driving Miss Daisy" is part of the Palustris Festival, a celebration of visual, literary and performing arts in the Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Aberdeen area of North Carolina.
