Patriot JV Boys Get Win Over Hoke

The Pinecrest junior varsity boys’ basketball team bounced back from a home loss against Richmond on Monday with a 66-63 comeback win at Hoke County on Tuesday.

The Patriots went into the fourth quarter in Raeford trailing by 10 points. Stephon Stephens led coach Ronshau Cole’s squad with 27 points, including an 11-for-15 performance at the free throw stripe. Jahlyn Person was seven-for-eight from the line and scored 20 points.

Will Milliken added eight points as the Pats improved to 6-5 overall and 3-2 in conference games.

In the 77-68 loss to Richmond, the top scorers for the Patriots were Stephens with 13 points, Bailey Benton with 11 and Person with nine.
