One Charged in Break-ins

Sheriff Lane Carter reported on November 3, 2013 his office received a report of a breaking and entering from John Scott, from the Robbins area of Moore County. Mr. Scott advised he had been fixing up his new residence preparing to move in. When he returned home to find someone had entered his home and removed his television.

On January 31, 2013 Sheriff’s Office Investigators along with the Robbins Police Department arrested Uriel Villa, 23, of 271 Hemp Street, Robbins, N.C. Villa was charged with two counts felony breaking and entering, two counts felony larceny after breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny and three counts of felony possession of stolen goods.

These charges also included another residential break-in within the Robbins city limits, and a larceny of jewelry from a resident of Robbins. Villa was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $40,000.00 secured bond. His first Court appearance is scheduled for February 14, 2013 in Moore County District Court in Carthage, N.C.
