As the most important presidental election in my lifetime comes down to the wire, I note that our president says nothing about the accomplishments of his past four years. He does tell us about how bad Gov. Romney is.
We have just absorbed another terrorist attack on our country at the American consulate in Libya, where our ambassador and three other Americans were killed. Obama said first that it was the result of a spontaneous attack by rioters. The story changed when the facts became overwhelming.
This lie is one of many. He plays to groups, has no jobs plan, could care less about the federal deficit, and has expanded the federal government by thousands. His version of jobs creation is for the government to provide them. The government is us; we pay for that.
The U.N. Security Council meets next week and Obama will sit on the couch with the ladies of “The View” so he can play to that audience. Obama is laughing at us and people don’t get it because he is great at one-liners.
There is only one choice for our country and it is Gov. Romney. He is actually qualified.

Karl, Obviously you didn't take the time to research what our President has accomplished in his 4 years in office. He might not be touting his accomplishments, of which there over 200! Enlighten us as to what exactly Romney has in store for us. What are HIS plans for recovery? What are HIS solutions? I have heard no concrete specifics. Romney wants you to vote for him now, and find out what he wants to do later. Sorry, considering his performance so far, his Mitt Flopping on every issue, his continual lying, his embarrassing arrogance and distain for half of the country, his party's outrageous, underhanded attempts to suppress voting rights of the poor, the elderly, college students and others, rights that others have given their lives to defend, his avoidance of paying taxes by moving his millions to other countries, his refusal to release his tax returns, his investing in a chinese company 4 times after that company, CNOOC'S started to invest in and support Iran's nuclear program, there is no way anyone who can think for themselves, can vote for Romney with a clear conscience. Had you also taken the time to find out the facts, President Obama WAS at UN, so your letter is a lie and typical of the misinformation spewed by the republican party and Romney/Ryan supporters.
So when you go to the polls consider the "win at any cost" mantra of your party. The lines of students trying to vote with only 2 voting booths available for hundreds of students, wait times of as much as 10 hours to execute their right to vote! The tea baggers, pulling hundreds of applications because they listed their dorm names but not their dorm room numbers, which were all over turned, but the students were intimidated and delayed just the same! The attempts at removing weekend early voting hours because the poor went to the polls in buses after Church! The elderly and the poor who have no driver's license who must find transportation to distant designated locations and must pay $22.00 for a copy of their birth certificate for an ID just to vote! Is this America? Is this what we fought for? I don't think so, it is the dirtiest republican election campaign I have ever seen in my lifetime. I am a registered republican and I am ashamed of that. Obama isn't perfect, far from it, but the other choice is much worse! Romney's campaign is a slap in the face to honesty, fairness, integrity, patriotism, compassion and the freedoms and rights of the citizens that America stands for. If the democratic party were pulling these un-American, disgraceful acts to lower the numbers of republican votes, the GOP would be screaming bloody murder!

Obama's most major accomplishments: Unemployment over eight percent for four years, sixteen trillion in debt ( six of it in his "un-patriotic" by his own words first term ). A skillful liar but a liar none the less, diminished security for our country under his watch, twice lowered credit rating etc. He doesn't deserve another four years.
dustyrhoades 7 months, 4 weeks ago
He doesn't deserve another four years.
Looks like the American people are going to give it to him, though. Man, how bad is your candidate?
skylinefirepest 7 months, 4 weeks ago
Dusty, don't count your summons until they hatch. I feel that most Democrats are just ordinary people like myself and are ashamed of their Liar in Chief. I think what is done in the booth will outweigh the talk outside the booth. Your man hasn't done a thing about the economy and acts totally as if he has no idea what to do...same with unemployment. Two of the most critical problems facing the country today, right??
dustyrhoades 7 months, 4 weeks ago
Very little of what pesty just said bears any relation to what's happened and is happening in the real world. The problem with the right wing is that they've started believing their own talking points, and if those conflict with reality, then reality's the problem.

The major problem(s) faced by this country have a bipartisan blame. The left is absolutely useless in solving these problems. The are stuck in the past, wishing to dwell on their bliss with the accused rapist, proven purgeror and proven adultorer. They also like to spend a lot of time talking about GWB. They have their collective heads up their nether regions. Why has the debt balooned to 16T under Obama, why is it projected to go to 20T plus if this joke gets another 4 years. Why does the left not care about this.

Why did Obama and his top officials continue to lie to the American people 5 days or more after the Libya murders, anyone with an internet connection or cable tv knew better within 24hrs. Of course I am speaking of the administration proclaiming the motivation for the attacks was a video. Any of the local lefties have concerns about that?

Meanwhile, Ann Romney worries about Mittens' mental health if he wins:
(Reuters) - Ann Romney told a Nevada television station her biggest concern if her husband, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, becomes president was his "mental well-being." In an interview Thursday with television station KTVN, Mrs. Romney was asked what her biggest worry was should Mitt Romney be elected to serve in the White House. "I think my biggest concern obviously would just be for his mental well-being," she said. "I have all the confidence in the world in his ability, in his decisiveness, in his leadership skills, in his understanding of the economy. ... So for me I think it would just be the emotional part of it."
And this is the person you wingers want with his finger on the nuclear button.

@AFCHIEF, the video you provided is offensive and the woman is obviously mentally unbalanced or has been paid by the republicans to put on a show. Is this the kind of crap you base your opinions on? How about we get a few disabled vets, a few elderly grandmothers, a few severely disabled children and add a dash of hard working people and a few tablespoons of millionaires who find ways to avoid paying income tax. What we will have then is the recipe for the REAL 47%! The video is of just one nut case, not a reflection on the rest of the those on assistance, just as you hopefully, are not a reflection on the rest of Romney supporters. The fact that you buy into this trash says a lot about your level of logical thinking. To coin your phrase--- FREAKIN REPUBLICANS.

The truth about the "Obama Phone":
Is this Obama Phone phone real? Sort of. The Federal Communications Commission has a program called Lifeline that provides low-cost or free phone service. The agency’s website says this is because it and Congress “recognize that telephone service provides a vital link to emergency services, government services and surrounding communities.” Who qualifies varies by state, but “in general,” to qualify you must have an income that is no more than 135 percent of the federal poverty line, or be enrolled in assistance programs like Medicaid, public housing assistance, discounted school lunch, or yes, food stamps. (This Factcheck.org piece has a good overview of the issue.) Strictly speaking, it’s not a government-funded program: the telephone companies make payments to a fund administered by a non-profit called the Universal Service Administrative Company, but anyone with a phone bill chips in through a surcharge on their service. Is the Obama Phone Obama’s doing? No. The universal service requirement dates back at least to the Communications Act of 1934. The Lifeline program specifically was started in 1984 under President Reagan and was expanded in 1996 under President Clinton to allow qualifying households to choose to apply the benefit to either a landline or a cell phone. So no, it’s not an Obama handout.

@Thatcher, Oh, come on now, the comment was conjecture, you know, like the stuff republicans say about everything Obama has done? Like twisting words and truths to accommodate a bias? You jump all over that little piece of my post, what about the rest? To be honest, with all the underhanded, dirty politics being pulled by the GOP I wouldn't put it past them to dig her up. I guess Romney lovers can dish it out, but they can't take it. The woman is not all there, figures they would make a video of her. Using her as an example to further the prejudice and blanket condemnation that arrogant republicans are so ready to dispense. It brings to mind a video in 2008 of a black woman in an apartment ranting about how small her big screen was and how federal housing wasn't big enough. Really, it was a fake. I guess the more things change, sadly, the more they remain the same.
