Police Identify Suspect in Friday Shooting

Southern Pines Police have a suspect in an attempted homicide that happened Friday night.
Police have identified Kovacs Kieron Troutman, 29, of Southern Pines, as the suspect involved in the shooting that took place at approximately 10:54 p.m. Friday at the U.S. 1 off ramp to Morganton Road in Southern Pines.
Responding patrol officers discovered the victim, who was identified as Bobby Terrell Dobbins of Southern Pines, North Carolina, had been shot multiple times while sitting in a parked vehicle. Dobbins was treated on scene by Moore County EMS and transported to receive further treatment.
Troutman was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded shirt and camouflage pants and was armed with a handgun. Arrest warrants have been issued. Police ask anyone who knows the whereabouts of Kovacs Kieron Troutman to please call 911.
