I am writing to congratulate Tom Embrey on his wonderful journalism in the Aug. 31 issue of The Pilot (“Documentary on Obama Shows Here”).

He interviewed Jim Heim, the chair of the Democratic Party in Moore County, about the documentary “2016: Obama’s America.”

According to Embrey, Heim said he would not encourage people to see the movie because it is “pretty thin gruel,” with “not a lot of meat.” Heim went on to call the film “propaganda” and a “biased piece” and called its release “simply an election time ploy.”

Heim then admitted that he had not seen the movie. This thinking clearly shows why Heim is so well-qualified to be the Democrats’ Moore County chair. He has a strong opinion about something he admits he knows nothing about.

That’s how the Democrats passed Obamacare without knowing what’s in it. As Democratic congressman John Conyers said, you can’t expect us to read it.
