Carthage Man Charged with Obtaining Prescription Pills by Fraud

A Carthage man has been arrested on charges of obtaining controlled prescription pills by fraud, Moore County Sheriff Lane Carter said.
Terry Lee Hyde Jr., of 1724 Firetower Road, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, and felony obtaining a controlled substance by misrepresentation to a healthcare provider.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation conducted by officers from the Moore County Sheriff’s
Office Narcotics Unit and involved an individual obtaining Oxycodone and Endocet prescription pills by misrepresentation to a healthcare provider. Oxycodone and Endocet are Schedule II controlled substances.
Hyde, Jr. received a written promise to appear in court and was released.
