The North Moore High School cross country team is holding the first annual Mustang Stampede 5K run and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk Sept. 22 at the school. The proceeds from the event will benefit the North Moore cross country program.

There will be prize bags and medals awarded to the top-three finishers for the men’s and women’s 5K race. The cost to run in the 5K race is $10 and $5 for the Fun Run. There will T-shirts available for $10.

Registration is scheduled to start at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the race and the races are slated to start at 9 a.m.

To register in advance make checks payable to NMHS cross country and mail them to NMHS, c/o Chris Coble, P.O. Box 9, Robbins, N.C., 27325.
