Man Faces Charges in Connection with Debit Card Theft

A Robbins man faces charges in connection with the reported theft of a debit card from a Carthage man.
On Aug. 31, Moore County Sheriff's investigators arrested Ted Junior Ray, 43, of 173 Elisha Place, and charged him with financial card theft, possession stolen property and obtaining property by false pretense and was released on a $1,000.00 unsecured bond.
The arrest stemmed from a report on July 27 made by Edward McLaughlin in reference to a larceny that consisted of the defendant taking the victim's debit card without the victim's acknowledgement and using same, said police.
Ray's first court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 20 in Moore County district court.
