Eleven contestants went 14-2 in this week’s The Pilot football contest.

Unfortunately for those that went 14-2, there were five prognosticators that went 15-1.

Dal Butler of Robbins, Noah Lyons of Southern Pines, Tony Grausso of Pinehurst, Stephanie Flores of Carthage and Jamie Tindall of Wagram all went 15-1, so to the tiebreaker we did go.

The tiebreaker game was Minnesota versus Arizona, a game that ended with the Vikings winning 21-14 for a total of 35 points.

That meant the first-place check for $50 went to Lyons, who had 39 for his tiebreaker number. Second place, and a check for $30, went to Tindall, who had 41 as his tiebreaker number. Grausso, with a tiebreaker number of 42, picks up the $20 third-place check.

Butler had 48 as his tiebreaker, while Flores checked in with 51 as her tiebreaker number.

In the overall standings, Jody Britt and David Weaver maintain their lead, both with an overall record of 75-37.
