Vote for the Future

Is Frank Lisco forgetting who has been in the White House for almost four years?

In his letter “GOP Actions Have Been Un-American” (Oct. 14), he alluded to former president Bush so many times that one would think that he has his presidents confused.

This presidential election is not about former President Bush but about the leadership of Barack Obama. He and “laughing Joe” Biden have had an opportunity for almost four years to repair the “mess” that Lisco says Bush created.

One does not need to remind the American people, if their eyes are open and if they have been listening, that our country is not safe, economically sound, nor the independent nation that it was just a few years ago, especially the last four years.

One does not need to list all the problems that are with us. We have heard them over and over again. The question is: Are we listening?

Because of what our USA is facing — from serious unemployment, unbelievable national debt which has been created during Obama’s administration, to the security of our homeland — should we not give someone else a chance to better this nation, bring back our patriotism, and love for country?

This November, regardless of political affiliation, please put country first and make your vote count for a new beginning. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have the leadership qualities, abilities, and experiences needed to move our country forward. Romney is a proven businessman and Ryan understands government. Both leaders want less government in our lives.

This may be the most important election ever. Please forget partisan politics and vote for the needs of our country.

President Obama managed to keep us from experiencing another great depression; that should be worth something. He's lowered taxes more than any president in decades. Corporate profits are at an all time high. There are more than six times as many oil drilling rigs in operation than under his predecessor. We're producing so much refined petroleum that we're exporting some of it. Natural gas is so plentiful that prices have tumbled. In fact, we have so much that work is underway to allow for more exports.

There are even 3,000 more gun dealers in business since Obama was elected. And not a single gun has been confiscated from a law abiding citizen. The second amendment has never been so well protected.

I'm happy to keep Mr. Obama in office along with his experienced and talented vice president. America prospers with Democrats in the White House.

The sad thing is Jim is right. People are so impatient, they want everything NOW! They refuse to accept the responsibility of the "kick the can down the road" of past administrations for the mess we are in now. Their impatience might cause them to jump out of the frying pan into Romney's fire. A big mistake!

IT IS SAD THAT INTELLIGENT PEOPLE STILL WANT TO DEFEND OBAMA.....AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE, IF HE WAS C.E.O. OF YOUR COMPANY AND PRODUCED THESE RESULTS YOU WOULD REPLACE HIM. ONE CAN LOOK AT THE NUMBERS AND THEY SPEAK FOR THEMSEEVES. AS A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER I HAVE NEVER PAID MORE IN TAXES THAN I DO NOW, AND HAVE NEVER FELT SO DISMAL ABOUT MY FUTURE. VOTE FOR WHOM YOU SEE FIT. THAT IS YOUR RIGHT AS AN AMERICAN, BUT EACH DAY THAT THE ELECTION GROWS NEARER EYES ARE OPENING ALL OVER AMERICA TO THE TRUTH. MAY THE BEST MAN WIN.
