The Arts Council of Moore County announces that the 31st season of the Classical Concert Series (CCS) will continue with the all-male vocal ensemble Cantus on Monday, Nov. 12, at The Village Chapel, in Pinehurst.

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at The Village Chapel, 10 Azalea Ave., Pinehurst, by calling (910) 295-6003, or emailing info@tvcpinehurst.com or the Arts Council, Campbell House, 482 E. Connecticut Ave., Southern Pines, at (910) 692-2787 or emailing acmc@mooreart.org.

Hailed as "the premier vocal ensemble in the United States" by Fanfare magazine, Cantus is known around the world for its trademark warmth and blend and its engaging performances of music ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century. >

Working without a conductor, the members of Cantus rehearse and perform as chamber musicians, each contributing to the entirety of the artistic process.

Cantus performs more than 70 concerts each year both in national and international touring, as well as in its home of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn.

Each member of the group also shares their own love of singing with thousands of students through workshops and master classes to ensure the future of choral arts. While they are in Moore County, they will present a special master class for the choral students at Pinecrest High School.

"To complete the evening, take advantage of a special pre-concert dinner at The Jefferson Inn in Southern Pines," says Chris Dunn, executive director of the ACMC. "For just $38 per person (tax and gratuity included), The Jefferson Inn will serve a delicious meal in a truly historical setting. Dinner reservations are required and can only be made by calling the Arts Council at (910) 692-2787.

The remaining concerts in the series will be presented at the Sunrise Theater, and they include the Borealis Wind Quintet on Monday, Feb. 11, and an All-Beethoven concert featuring violinist Paul Huang and pianist Louis Schwizgebel on Monday, March 18.
