PHS Volleyball Rolls Past Hoke, Into Conference Tourney

The Pinecrest volleyball team defeated Hoke County 25-4, 25-14 and 25-11 on Thursday in Raeford to complete the regular season with an overall record of 21-2.
The Patriots (8-2) finished second in the 4-A Southeastern Conference behind undefeated Scotland County. They will receive a first-round bye in the league tournament and return to action at 6 p.m. at home on Tuesday in one of the semifinal contests.
Janea Williams and Felicia Painter had 11 and 10 kills respectively in the win over Hoke. Megan Thomas contributed 24 assists and Keegan Lynch led in digs with six.
