Junior League Partners with Children's Center

On Aug. 18, the Junior League of Moore County partnered with the Sandhills Children's Center, who hosted the fifth annual Backyard Bocce Bash.
The event was held at the Pinehurst Harness Track.
More than 50 bocce teams played to raise awareness and support children with disabilities.
The Junior League of Moore Country showed their support by bringing food, drink, spirits and good cheer to the event in hopes to raise awareness and support for their various community programs like Kids in the Kitchen and Community Scholarship Fund.
The Junior League of Moore County's fundraising chairperson, Sara Davis, said, "It was a true pleasure working with the Sandhills Children's Center on their fifth annual Backyard Bocce Bash. >The players and volunteers >were full of energy, and it a was joy knowing that the Junior League was able to help make this year's event a success. >
"SCC does wonderful work with the children of our community, and it was an honor to work with them."
The Junior League of Moore County is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
